DOG FRIENDLY STAYS IN HEREFORDSHIRE
Bring the dog. Seriously.
Finding somewhere that's genuinely dog friendly — not just technically pet-tolerant — is harder than it should be.
At The Baiting House, dogs are properly welcome. Our owners Kate and Andrew have several of their own, so we know what it actually means to travel with a dog, and we've made sure the experience works for them as much as it does for you.
What we Provide
Every overnight canine guest gets a comfortable dog bed, a water bowl, and a welcome biscuit on arrival. Poo bags and dedicated bins are available on the patio, and there's plenty of green space right on the doorstep for morning walks, evening wanders, and everything in between.
We charge £15 per dog for the stay — a one-off additional cleaning fee, not a nightly charge.
Where your dog can go
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the bar and in at least one of our dining areas — so you won't be banished to eat outside in the cold while your dog sits watching through the window. Our Deluxe Lodges and Studio Lodges are all pet-friendly, with direct access from the front door straight out into open fields. No roads to worry about. No complicated routes. Just space.
The upstairs rooms in the main Baiting House aren't well suited for dogs — if you're travelling with a four-legged companion, the lodges are the right choice.
The walking
The Baiting House sits in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside, with footpaths, bridleways and quiet lanes in every direction. Whether your dog is a committed five-miles-before-breakfast type or more of a gentle-amble-then-back-for-a-snooze type, there's walking to suit. Check our local area guide for recommended routes and nearby spots worth exploring.
