    SEVERN VALLEY RAILWAY

    SAFARI PARK

    Go wild on a four-mile self-drive safari. Fun for kids, and for adults too. Just 20 minutes from The Baiting House.

  • MORGAN CAR FACTORY

    An automotive experience like no other! Guided tours of the Morgan factory last around two hours. Limited to just 10 visitors per tour, your will introduce you to the Morgan brand, explaining the heritage of the company, before guiding you through the factory, explaining how every Morgan car is hand crafted.

    GO APE ZIPWIRE

    With both a Treetop Challenge and a Treetop Adventure, Go Ape Wyre Forest (around 25 minutes away) is ideal for both thrill seekers after their next rush, and families just looking for a great day out.

    With courses nearby at Worcester, Ludlow and Hereford, there’s nearly always an opportunity to enjoy a day at the races during your stay at the Baiting House. We’re even less than an hour from Cheltenham, home of Jump racing.

Nature

Where do we start? We’re surrounded by gorgeous countryside and close to the Malvern, the Shropshire Hills and some great country estates.

    THE MALVERN HILLS

    The Malvern Hills stand majestically above the Severn Plain in Worcestershire and the rolling wooded hills of Herefordshire offering visitors a dramatic view across a variety of landscape types.

    SHROPSHIRE HILLS

    The Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) covers almost a quarter of Shropshire. It's a living landscape, loved by locals and visitors alike for its quality of environment, rich history, and for walking, relaxation and inspiration.

    The views from Titterstone Clee summit (25 minutes from the Baiitng House) are spectacular.

  • BROMYARD DOWNS

    Just 10 minutes away, the Downs offer something to walkers, nature lovers, families and joggers alike, with each season bringing a different atmosphere. Its attraction lies in its diversity of habitats - from autumn colours in Warren wood, a thrilling dawn chorus from the scrubby areas in spring to the stunning orchid displays in the summer – there really is something for everyone.

    Four acres of gardener’s paradise. This is one of our all time favourite gardens to visit at any time of the year. They also have a lovely tea room.

    BERRINGTON HALL

    (National Trust) ‘Capability’ Brown – designed gardens and a stunning 18th Century house.

    Located just outside Leominster, pop into the Stockton Cross for lunch while you’re there.

History

Castles, Cathedrals and more. All within a 30 minute drive of The Baiting House.

    LUDLOW

    Sure there’s the castle. And it’s a lovely castle. But that’s just one of the attractions of this absolutely gorgeous medieval town, around 25 minutes away.

    HEREFORD

    Our county town is stunning, situated on the River Wye with its ancient cathedral (which houses the Mappa Mundi and a chained library). A lovely way to spend a day.

  • WORCESTER

    Site of the last battle of the Civil War, home to a stunning riverside cathedral. Worcester warrants at least half a day exploring its history and enjoying its cobbled streets.

    CROFT CASTLE

    From Edward the Confessor to Winston Churchill, the Croft family have been key players and confidantes to England's leaders since 1055. Their ancestral home is a stunning lace to visit.
