Some dads want a fuss made. Most just want a good lunch, a proper pint, and the good sense of everyone around them to let him enjoy both. We can manage all three.
This year we're making a weekend of it — lunch and dinner on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st, with Charles and the kitchen on full form. Sunday is roast day, as it should be: properly cooked beef, the trimmings done right, and pudding for anyone with room left.
And because it's his weekend, every father dining with us gets a pint or a glass of wine on the house. No vouchers to print, no hoops — just tell us when you book.
We're out in the Herefordshire countryside, the dogs are welcome, and there's no rush to be anywhere. Bring him for lunch, stay for a walk, or settle in for dinner. The weekend's his.
