THE BAITING HOUSE ROOMS
Stay in the heart of it
There's something special about sleeping in the building itself. While our lodges offer seclusion and space, the three rooms upstairs in the main Baiting House give you something different — warmth, character, and that particular feeling of being properly in somewhere rather than adjacent to it.
Breakfast downstairs. A nightcap at the bar without worrying about the walk back. The creak of a proper old building settling around you at night. It's a different kind of stay, and for the right guest, it's the best one we offer.
All three rooms are named after local hop varieties — a small nod to Herefordshire's rich history of growing the stuff that makes great beer great.

The Rooms
FUGGLES — Deluxe King Room
Named after one of Herefordshire's most celebrated hop varieties, Fuggle is a generous, characterful king room with a spacious en suite bathroom. Walk-in shower, complimentary toiletries, Nespresso machine, free WiFi and Freeview TV. The kind of room that's easy to settle into and hard to leave.
GOLDINGS — Deluxe King Room
Goldings is the second of our two king rooms — named after another of the great local hops, and every bit as good. Spacious, comfortable and full of personality, with a shower over the bath en suite. Everything you need for a proper night away, with the bar a flight of stairs below.
PIONEER — The Cosy Double
Smaller than its neighbours, but don't let that put you off. Pioneer is snug in the best possible sense — a room that feels made for a proper weekend away rather than a soulless night on the road. Everything you need, in just the right amount of space.
Named after the Pioneer hop — bold, dependable, and quietly underrated. A bit like a well-kept secret.
What's in every room?
King-size or double bed, en suite bathroom with complimentary toiletries, Nespresso machine, free WiFi, Freeview TV and a hair dryer. Fuggle and Goldings have walk-in showers; Pioneer has a shower over the bath.
A note on dogs
Our upstairs rooms aren't the best fit for dogs — if you're travelling with a four-legged companion, our Studio or Deluxe Lodges are much better suited, with direct access straight out into the fields. Dogs are very welcome at The Baiting House, just not quite up here.
