Situated along the ancient border country between England and Wales, we’re less than a 2 hour drive from most Welsh cities.

We offer memorable food in our Michelin Guide acclaimed dining room, as well as rooms and luxury lodges with private hot tubs nestled in the extensive grounds.

The Baiting House is a rural bolthole for couples, families and dog lovers alike.

Staying at The Bait

Discover cosy rooms in the building as well as Lodges scattered around the grounds. Many have their own private hot tubs.

Our dining room is listed in the 2026 Michelin Guide and is open for dinner from Wednesday to Sunday, as well as lunch on Thursday to Saturday and an amazing Sunday Lunch.

Getting Here

From Cardiff or Newport we’re just up the A40 a bit beyond Hereford. From Wrexham and the north of Wales it’s straight down the A49. If you’re lucky enough to live in Brecon, Monmouth or surrounding areas then we’re practically neighbours.
